With a mission to ensure the continued growth and development of jazz through education and outreach, the International Association for Jazz Education (IAJE) serves 8,000 members in 40 countries. A voluntary non-profit organization, IAJE initiates programs which nurture the understanding and appreciation of jazz and its heritage, provides leadership to educators regarding curriculum and performance, and assists teachers, students, and artists with information and resources. The IAJE Annual Conference, held each January, is acknowledged as the largest annual gathering of the global jazz community.
The objective of the International Association for Jazz Education, Texas Unit, is to promote the education, performance, and appreciation of jazz in Texas. This chapter of IAJE offers regional festivals, conferences, teaching clinics, and support for educators and musicians throughout the state. The existence of IAJE-TX is to develop and perpetuate this uniquely American art form. There are currently over four hundred members, including active teachers, students, and other jazz enthusiasts.

For musicians interested in the All-State jazz music, accompanying midi files, and All-State Jazz Band results you can go here for more information.
